Growing up in Farmington Hills , she had various small pets from Hermit crabs to guinea pigs and eventually a family dog. Her favorite High school classes included biology and Chemistry. She had the opportunity to take courses at Kellogg Biological Center through Michigan State University, which opened her eyes to agriculture and raising livestock. Her first job after graduating veterinary school in 1997 was for a mixed animal practice in Armada, MI.
Moving to Traverse City 3 years later where she concentrated on small animal medicine including surgery, dentistry and general medicine. She Joined the Long Lake Animal hospital staff in 2006. When not at work you can usually find her walking her dogs in the woods, cross country skiing, down hill skiing, mountain biking, road biking or working in the yard.
