Dr. Lisa LaCross has been practicing veterinary medicine since she graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After working in emergency medicine, she and her husband Jeff opened Long Lake Animal Hospital in Traverse City, Michigan.  They became an AAHA accredited practice and grew to a 3-doctor hospital.  Dr. LaCross encourages personal growth and became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist and Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist.

She and her husband added a rehabilitation center to their hospital and are now offering regenerative medicine.  Dr. LaCross enjoys general practice, laser surgery, as well as some orthopedics. A good work life balance has allowed for her to be active in her 4 children’s lives; with 2 in college and 2 out, and starting their journey. When she isn’t working, she is likely on a lake or trail in northern Michigan or the Upper Peninsula.
