Practice Manager

Susan was born and raised here in Northern Michigan. She found her love of animals growing up in the country surrounded by wildlife. As a child she would explore the forest and find any small creature she could. She would often have tadpoles, squirrels, and field mice in her care. She always had a dog or cat following her on her adventures. She continued her love of animals throughout her school years. Her first job was a kennel assistant at a local veterinary office learning the field.

She even volunteered at the local zoo. In 2004 Susan began working at Long Lake Animal Hospital. The clients there have become part of her family. She has loved getting to know them all throughout the years. She and her husband have three daughters, two dogs, three cats, one rabbit, 12 chickens and 3 ducks. When she’s not working at Long Lake Animal Hospital you can find her spending time with her family, gardening, hiking and camping.
