Kearsten

Kearsten was born and raised in Traverse City Michigan, where she currently resides with her Husband and two Daughters. Graduating from Traverse City West Senior High School in 2011, she knew she wanted to pursue something in the veterinary field. Attending NMC and then Baker College, her studies continue online with Penn Foster. While attending college, Kearsten devoted her heart to working at an emergency pet hospital for nine years before deciding a general practice was more conductive with her family work life balance. Her passion and interests are surgery, anesthesia, and patient care. She enjoys the opportunities at Long Lake Animal Hospital to learn new therapies, like stem cells and PRP, which benefit the patients she gets to care for.

Kearsten and her family enjoy their equine companions trail riding and camping across Michigan. Her oldest daughter is beginning to barrel race with her own horse, and her youngest is working her way through lead line classes at the horse shows. When they are not horsing around, Kearsten enjoys taking care of her mini farm including some chickens, goats, and her horses, not to forget her beloved Jack Russel, Spur, and kitty, Ghost. Being in northern Michigan, Kearsten enjoys being outdoors, swimming, kayaking, and trail riding.
